Dear Prof. Mizushima

I am very concerned with the news on yesterday´s earthquake. I do hope no colleagues and no Japanese museum has been injured or hit in any way. I trust the measures you have taken before and after the quake mitigate the consequences, but even so, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you pass through this difficult moment.

I speak in my name, but am sure the Brazilian ICOM committee, our museological community and the Brazilian people in general are concerned and alert to help in any way. Please accept also our homage to those who suffered losses already and extend our concerns to JMMA and ICOM Japan.

昨日の地震の報を大変心配しております。私は、関係者のどなたも、あるいはどの日本のミュージアムも、傷ついたり、打撃を受けたりしてないことを心から願っています。みなさまが地震の前後にとられた対策がこの事態を和らげていると信じています。それでもこの困難な時をあなた方が乗り越えるのに私にできることがあれば何なりとお知らせください。

今は私個人としてお話していますが、きっとブラジルICOM委員会、私たち博物館学コミュニティ、そして一般のブラジル人も心配しており、ともかく支援の準備ができています。

被災された方々に心からお見舞い申し上げます。私たちはJMMA（日本ミュージアム・マネジメント学会）とICOM日本のみなさまのことも心に懸けています。
